The sunscreen comes in a tube packaging that is packaged inside a carded blister pack. I love the blue colour of the plastic tube packaging and the fact that it’s a squeeze tube with a screw top lid, which makes it so handy and great for travelling.

Texture and Smell

As the name suggests, it is a watery gel texture. It is neither too thick nor too runny and I was so surprised when I rubbed the sunscreen on my skin to absorb – it literally feels like water and absorbs instantly into the skin!

Lightweight and easy to apply

What I like:

  • Watery texture when applied (supery light)
  • Absorbs quick
  • High SPF
  • No white cast
  • Doesn’t look weird or streaky when sweating
  • Did not seem to irritate / aggravate my skin. Did not sting.

What I don’t like:

  • A bit of a ‘cream’ after feel on your face (you can tell you are wearing a cream even after the sun block sets) – this could be because I apply a lot of sun block.
  • The chemical as hell smell when applying.
  • Perfume
  • Alcohol

PRODUCT EXPERIENCE

Do I agree with Biore’s claims? Yes, I do! I use this as the last step in my morning skincare routine and use a dime size amount to cover my face and neck. Since the texture and consistency is gel-like and thin, it’s really easy to spread the product evenly on the skin.
Bioré's UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen is 100 percent worth buying. It more than holds its own against the competition in terms of effectiveness and invisibility on skin—and outshines in terms of price. The lightweight gel absorbs swiftly and smoothly, has zero grease factor (more of a fresh, dewy finish), and delivers a big dose of moisture to thirsty skin, thanks to glycerin and hyaluronic acid. It’s ideal for oily skin yet no matter your skin type, its outstanding SPF50+ blocks UV rays from doing their photo-aging, skin-damaging thing.
I recommend this sunscreen to practically everyone I know, that’s how much I love it! It opened up my eyes to how comfortable and weightless sunscreen could actually be, and it has continued to be my favorite summer sunscreen for the past several years. The Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is likely not a product for all skin types, or for all seasons. People with oily or combo skin will most likely enjoy this more than those with drier skin types, so if you are considering purchasing it, you might want to keep that in mind. Additionally, if you are in the throes of a skin-drying winter, this sunscreen may not be your best bet. 
As for me, I’m thrilled to have summer sun protection that feels comfortable and leaves my skin looking happy!
